The reality of public schools
As a former teacher in a public school district for
five years together, I made a few observations:
Many of the children in public schools o not happy
there. The main complaint is boredom.
o 20% of students included in the system and excellent
performance, while 80% did not.
o On an average day in class each student receives ten
to fifteen minutes of individual, one-on-one with their teachers. The rest of
the day was devoted to teaching a group of 25 to 30 students, the transition
from one activity to another class of disorder, recesses, lunch and crowd
control.
Classes o mixed with 10% high and low achievers 10%
with the majority of students are somewhere in the middle. A gifted child can
read 200 books per year, while the slow kid can not make it through it.
Classrooms O moves the slowest student. Often,
advanced students relieve the boredom and slow learners out because they can
not keep.
o Most of the students became agitated and the gang
try to find their place academically and socially.
O Public awareness is one-size-fits-all approach to
education, and as defined in the system.
